Satisfaction or waiver of conditions include, but are not limited to, consent of the First Nations indigenous tribes and other material stakeholders; assignments of material permits and contracts; and the receipt of regulatory approvals. The partners anticipate resuming construction of the project this autumn, and completing it in late 2010. If the transaction goes ahead, Dokie Ridge would expand GE Energy's portfolio of renewable-energy investments to more than $4bn worldwide.

GE Energy Financial Services has signed an agreement with financially troubled EarthFirst Canada to consider purchasing Dokie Ridge, the largest wind farm project under construction in the province of British Columbia.
