International heavyweights line up for Morocco wind tender

The five consortia putting in bids by 30 October close were:

• Spain’s Acciona Energia and Acciona Windpower; 
• France’s EDF Energies Nouvelles with Qatar Electricity and Water Company, Morocco’s Fipar Holding, and Alstom Wind;
• Saudi Arabia’s International Company for Water and Power Projects, and Spain’s Gamesa;
• The UK’s International Power (Engie group), the UAE’s International Power, and Vestas France;
• Morocco’s Nareva Holding, Italy’s Enel Green Power, and Germany’s Siemens Wind Power.
