The newly-elected Conservative administration said yesterday that projects larger than 50MW in England and Wales will now have to seek consent from local authorities, rather than central government.
It has also pledged to “end subsidies” for new developments, although the details of how that will work in practice have yet to be released by the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC).
