Energy and mineral resources minister Sudirman Said has revealed that the authorities are now drafting policies, securing funding, sourcing technologies and developing human resources to promote renewable energy and enhance energy security, The Jakarta Post reports.
The minister said that the new entity could balance out state-run utility PT PLN’s inability to expand its renewables capacity, but did not disclose additional details.
