Although one of the country’s first wind farms, the 150MW Ventos do Sul complex, was built there in 2006 by Spanish group Enerfin, the South has attracted fewer developers than the bustling Northeast. Yet that appears to be changing.
Argentina’s Impsa has announced it will build a turbine factory to supply Eletrosul, which has 90MW in operation, 482MW in construction and a 3GW pipeline, all in Rio Grande do Sul.
