“A new controller seems to be the only way out, because confidence in the company has been eroded by financial troubles,” says Graciema Bertoletti, a partner at G5 Evercore consultancy, which is leading the restructuring of WPE and has the task of seeking a new majority stakeholder.

“We are talking to all companies, and for whoever wants get into the Brazilian wind power market and has no [turbine-making] facilities, it can save at least three years.”
