Norvind’s Totoral Wind Farm, located 300 kilometers north of Santiago, will consist of 23 2 MW Vestas wind turbines.
The loan by the IFC, the World Bank's private-sector lender, will advance the development of renewable energy in Chile, the multilateral lender said.
“IFC expects the investment in Norvind to catalyze more project finance in non-conventional, renewable energy projects in Chile,” said Bernie Sheahan, the IFC’s director for Infrastructure.
