The partners will use Ideol’s semi-submersible, "damping pool" floating foundations, which are designed for waters beyond 35 metres in depth.

The tie-up aims to offer "a cost-competitive and global solution" to support the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's prioritisation of floating offshore wind farms as "a strategic necessity for Japan’s energy mix".
