Iberdrola says that 51% of its capacity is now located outside Spain, with the largest growth reported in the US, where installed capacity grew by 773MW to 3.9GW.
The company adds that to date it has received $577m in grants from the government for its wind farm developments in the US, where it is the second biggest wind power producer, with output from 41 wind farms.
