The Cerro La Higuera (44MW), Altamira (49.3MW) and Cortijo La Linera (28MW) wind farms are all located in Malaga province, and will supply electricity to more than 200,000 people.
The new farms bring Iberdrola Renovables’ total installed capacity in Andalusia to 548MW, and its total in Spain to nearly 4.9 gigawatts (GW).
The Spanish company invested €3.8bn ($4.9bn) into renewables in 2008, bringing 2.2GW
