Dyer will be the wind commissioner for the next three years, setting a framework for resolving complaints about developments and overseeing issues such as wind farm monitoring – although he will have no powers to override the decisions of any existing statutory body.
Dyer, currently chairman of consumer goods group Zenexus, is a previous chair of the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman Council, and serves as an adviser to the Monash Sustainability Institute and ClimateWorks Australia.
