EDPR will eventually need to pass higher prices for wind turbines through to electricity buyers, Duarte Bello, chief operating officer for Europe and Latin America at the Iberian renewables giant told Recharge.

Major OEMs such as Siemens Gamesa and Vestas amid surging inflation for raw materials such as steel and rising logistics costs have acknowledged they are in tough contract negotiations with developers in order to push through higher per-megawatt prices for wind turbines to safeguard their own profit margins.
