EnBW’s Renewable Energies segment delivered an adjusted profit of €153.1m ($170m) in the January to June period before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) – a 75% increase on the first half of 2015.
That took Renewable Energies’ share of group Ebitda to 15.8%, up from a year-earlier 6.9%.
EnBW said the renewables surge was mainly driven by the full commissioning of its Baltic 2 offshore wind farm.
