The privately held Calgary-based developer says it has entered into turbine supply and 10-year service and maintenance agreements for the project, which it expects to begin building next year.
Deliveries will commence in the third quarter of 2012 and Greengate's target for commercial operation is 2013.
For its part, Vestas confirms ongoing negotiations with Greengate, but says it “has not yet received a firm and unconditional order for the project”.
