A poll of more than 200 energy executives found that 60% believe both onshore wind and solar energy will grow more than 5% this year, despite tight conditions in the credit markets. In contrast, just 38% expect to see similar levels of growth in offshore wind, and 19% in marine technologies.
Executives are nevertheless overwhelmingly optimistic about the renewable-energy industry’s prospects over the next year, with nearly 80% saying they believe green-energy projects remain economically viable.
