Wiltshire-based Good Energy saw its turnover rise 37% to £17.7m ($25.8m), primarily due to the higher average electricity prices experienced across the country in 2008. The company also owes a small increase in its revenues to the biomass-fired ‘renewable heat’ gas range it began offering customers for the first time.
But operating profits at Good Energy came in 22% lower than last year at £493,995, with ballooning administrative expenses absorbing most of the increases in profits and revenues.
