It will be the first manufacturer to supply permanent magnet direct-drive turbines in the country, according to an online statement.
The company — currently China’s leading turbine producer — will supply 48 units of its 2.5MW model and will provide EPC services for the construction of Johannesburg-based developer and IPP BioTherm Energy’s Golden Valley wind farm in South Africa’s Eastern Cape province.
