Some $23m of investment will go into the plant in Amarillo and another $18m into machinery and equipment.
“They’re talking a $13m (annual) payroll,” Amarillo Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) board chair John Krister tells the Amarillo Globe-News newspaper.“It just doesn’t get any better than that.”
GRI plans to have more than 300 employees at the factory once it ramps to full production.
