"The Federal Government for a long time has been striving to settle the purely formal legal question, whether the EEG is subject to the EU state aid regime (meaning that it constitutes state aid) or not," a statement from the energy ministry to Recharge said.
"The Federal Government continues to think that the EEG system doesn't constitute state aid," it continued.
