The proposed legislation, which also details a switch in Germany's renewable support system to tenders for onshore wind and solar, as well as regular offshore wind tenders from 2020 onwards, was immediately heavily criticised by the renewables industry that demands higher tendering volumes, and a better protection of smaller developers and co-operatives in the tendering process.

The draft that is now being sent to German states and industry associations foresees one 1.46GW
