The TSOs – TenneT, Amprion, TransnetBW, and 50Hertz – expect the country's installed renewables capacity to rise to 112GW by 2019, with 91% of that coming from wind and solar. RE installations will produce more than 200 terawatt hours of electricity by then, the TSOs estimate.
By comparison, onshore and offshore wind at the end of the second quarter of 2014 had a combined accumulated installed capacity of 35.4GW.
