The net expansion during the first half of 2016 surged 73% to 1.89GW, bringing Germany’s accumulated onshore wind capacity to 43.5GW at the end of June, Deutsche WindGuard said using figures commissioned by the German wind energy federation BWE and VDMA Power Systems, a branch of engineering federation VDMA representing manufacturers.
For the full-year 2016, the wind groups expect up to 4.4GW
