A full installation team from GWS will be joined by BMS Heavy Cranes for the lift and installation at the seven-stand site, an hour west of Aalborg, where the turbine will neighbour Siemens’ SWT-7.0-154, MHI-Vestas’ V164-8.0 and Envision’s EN-120/3.0MW, among others.
GE project manager Elsa-Laure Rondeleux says: “GWS has been awarded the installation contract based on the good experience we had with this company at the Belwind project [off Belgium, site of the first offshore Haliade prototype] in 2013.”
