GE appears to have lobbied Nelja Enegia (also called 4 Energia) hard in order to supply the turbines for the Lithuanian project, as Rechargereported more than a year ago. The customer confirmed the order this week.

The developer had secured rights to build the Silute project in a Lithuanian onshore wind tender at a rock-bottom price of €69.5 ($80.4) per megawatt hour of produced electricity – a level so low by European standards that at least one other manufacturer had admitted to Recharge that it couldn't realistically produce for such a low-price buyer.
