GE Renewable Energy CEO Jerome Pecresse told reporters in Paris the US group harbours ambitions “to become one of the three major players in the offshore wind market" and could consider acquisitions to achieve it, along with organic growth.
GE already has a significant position in the sector via the former Alstom business, which it took control of following its takeover of the French group’s energy assets last year.
