Although Rodrigo Ferreira, GE Renewables wind power supply chain director, declined to give details about the contracts, he said that the new models – the GE 2.3-107 and the GE 2.0-116 – will be produced in Brazil, complying with local-content rules.
“It is a parallel process in which we are already tapping our suppliers to produce the components locally," Ferreira told Recharge.
