Gamesa said the seven orders from multiple customers involve 170 of its G114-2.0 MW and 60 G97-2.0 MW machines, configured for low-wind sites.

The Spanish group will also act as turnkey contractor for construction of the majority of the developments, which are all due to enter service in the first quarter of next year.

India accounted for 29% of Gamesa’s megawatt sales in 2015.
