Up to now, Gamesa has been assembling and delivering its G97 model in Brazil, but these are the first G114s that it has assembled and delivered locally. A further 111 will be installed at CPFL's Campos dos Ventos and São Bendito complex in the northeast state of Rio Grande do Norte.
“This will be biggest greenfield project that the company has implemented and it was on time and on budget,” says Alberto dos Santos, the company's engineering director.
