Gamesa will deliver 98 of its G114-2.0MW machines to Votorantim for deployment at seven wind farms in the state of Piaui.

The turbines will be equipped with Gamesa’s power-boosting MaxPower technology, increasing their nominal capacity to 2.1MW each and providing a total 206MW.

Votorantim, a Brazilian industrial and financial conglomerate, entered the wind sector for the first time for the nation’s A-3 power auction, held in August, when its Votorantim Energia unit won the seven projects, Ventos de Sao Vicente 8 to 14.
