GE’s non-binding offer was “impossible” for Siemens and the Spanish turbine manufacturer to accept, Reuters said this week, citing anonymous sources close to the matter.
Both Siemens and Gamesa declined to comment on the bid when asked by Recharge.
None of the other involved parties were immediately available to comment on the bid.
The future of Adwen — an offshore wind venture owned by Gamesa and France’s Areva — has been a matter of speculation since Gamesa agreed to a merger with Siemens in June.
