Chief Financial Officer Juan Ramón Iñarritu told analysts that the company was seeing “a material pick up in orders.” Gamesa said firm and unconditional orders in the third quarter were 1.186MW, five times the level of orders in the third quarter of 2009 and three times the orders received in the second quarter of 2010.
Of these orders, 584MW are for 2010 delivery, and 602MW are for delivery in 2011, Iñarritu says, adding that 2010 orders at the end of the third quarter are already sufficient cover 93% of the sales foreseen in the company’s guidance for the year.
