Gamesa’s EBIT margin was higher than had been predicted, at 7.2%, compared to guidance of 6-7%, due to the extensive cost cutting campaign that the company implemented during 2009. The company made a net profit of €115 m, compared to €177 m in 2008. However Gamesa points out that 2008’s results were affected by the impact of €143 m extraordinary revenues of from the sale of its solar division.
