Siemens will deliver 20 of its SWT-2.3-93 turbines with a 125m tip height, and another five of the same machines with a 100m tip height, to the project.

Mid Hill's 57.5MW first phase is due on line later this year, while its nine-turbine second phase has not yet been consented.

Siemens says Mid Hill represents the second UK order it has received from FOR, the clean-energy subsidiary of Oslo-listed conglomerates Bonheur ASA and Ganger Rolf ASA.
