Wind power additions rose by 61% to 939MW in 2014, pushing the country's accumulated wind capacity to 9.14GW, according to statistics from the ministry's sustainable development commissariat.
Wind power output last year reached 16.2 terawatt hours, or 6% more than in 2013. It now represents 3.5% of France's electricity consumption, up from 3.1% in 2013.
Solar power installations jumped 42% to 927MW last year, reaching an accumulated 5.63GW
