The first stage of the pre-qualification round for France’s latest offshore wind tender is nearing final submission days, as the country sprints to award over 1GW of capacity early next year.
Up to 750MW of capacity is up for grabs in the Dunkirk area, in the English Channel off northern France, and another 500MW is potentially up for discussion later this year in the Oléron area, in the Atlantic, off Western France, the country’s Wind Energy Association (FEE) said.
