According to a memorandum of understanding signed this week, the two companies will look for opportunities in renewables, and also co-operate on nuclear development in the UK, Germany and China.
No further details were given about the renewable energy plans.
Fluor already has a footprint in European renewables via its work building England’s Greater Gabbard offshore wind farm and a 50% stake in the 1GW Seagreen development project in Scotland – and will hope that any projects with CNNC have happier outcomes than the former of those two.
