The US-based infrastructure investor will join developer Mexico Power Group (MPG) in building La Bufa, which is due to go online in early 2017 using turbines from Spanish wind OEM Gamesa.
Details of the investment were not disclosed.
MPG in September 2013 sold output to VW from 130MW of the 180MW originally planned at La Bufa, sited in the state of Zacatecas.
