Revenue fell from $53.1m in the first quarter of 2009 to $22.2m in the latest figures for the US wind power component provider.
“In view of the low revenue, we have continued to focus on managing down our fixed costs and streamlining our business processes," says Broadwind chief executive Cameron Drecoll.
“During the quarter, we felt the lagged effect of the broad economic slowdown that began to impact our industry in late 2008."
