The Irish renewable company said the sale, which netted it $4.5 million, puts it a “much stronger financial position during these difficult market conditions.”
Finavera Renewable purchased Ghost Pine, which has the capacity to produce 75 megawatts of wind power, in 2007.
But the Irish renewable company decided to cash in on Ghost Pine by selling it to the US utility with little likelihood that the global credit crunch will ease this year.
