Finavera retains a 10% stake in the project in County Galway, Ireland.
The Vancouver-based company sold the equity for €8.4m ($10.6m) to make more cash available for four wind power projects it is developing in British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada.
The firm's stock rose on the news.
Finavera's four wind projects will have a combined capacity of 300MW and will cost around C$800m ($755m) to build.
