The agreement marks the beginning of a partnership between Finavera and the tribe, known as First Nations in Canada, and sets out the processes for – and sharing of benefits from – the development of future wind projects.
The McLeod Lake Indian Band will benefit through training, employment, business opportunities and financial participation in the projects, which tribal leaders did not detail.
