The scoping report for the Swedish outfit’s pilot development, an 8-12MW semisubmersible unit located off Dounreay in water depths of 60-110 metres, could be commissioned by the summer of 2018.
"Scotland has a fantastic wind resource and the right policies to develop offshore wind as a competitive energy source,” says Anders Barne, chairman of the special purpose company, Dounreay Trì, set up for the demonstrator.
