The project, in northeast Queensland, is owned by property developer Port Bajool and independent power producer Ratch Australia. It was one of seven shortlisted renewables projects in a tender held last year.
Ergon has offered a 12.5-year PPA for the project, which is likely to be the first large-scale wind farm to be built in Queensland.
The utility says it is possible that other PPA contracts may be offered, even though the original 150MW limit for the tender has been exceeded with the Mount Emerald project.
