Under the “multi-million pound” deal, Enercon will provide 35 turbines ranging in output from 800-900 kilowatts (kW).
Twenty-three of the turbines will be sited at npower’s 19.3 megawatt (MW) An Suidhe wind farm, located in Argyll and Bute. The other 12 will be delivered to the 9.6MW Lochelbank wind farm.
“This will be the first time RWE npower renewables has worked with Enercon,” says Wayne Cranstone, head of onshore development for the firm.
