Vietnam — where rival turbine manufacturers Vestas and GE have signed supply deals in recent months — looks particularly promising.
"(The region) is getting more interesting,” Steffen Bruans, deputy regional sales manager for Enercon in East Asia, told Recharge at World Smart Energy Week in Tokyo.
Since 2011, Vietnam has offered a feed-in tariff (FIT) of 1,614 dong ($0.08) per kWh over 20 years.
