EGP is building the wind farms through its subsidiary Enel Brasil Participacoes.
The new plants, called Cristal, Primavera and Sao Judas, are all located in the same area of inner Bahia state, and involve investments of around €166m ($217m).
EGP won the contracts for the farms in the September 2010 wind-power tender. The Italian group says they will have load factors of around 45%, among the highest levels in the world, and operate for around 4,000 hours equivalent per year.
