EDP CEO Antonio Mexia said the company “did not need the uncertainty” created by the referendum vote, which he fears could delay the progress of Moray, under development by the group’s EDPR renewable energy unit.
Moray is one of a string of major UK offshore wind projects hoping to win a contract-for-difference (CfD) support deal in government power auctions.
Mexia told the Portuguese Expresso newspaper: "We remain interested, but all this requires political decisions.
