The company, which is working with Infinergy on the development near Dufftown in Moray, won consent for a 177MW project at the site in 2011, but has reapplied to build the wind farm with the "latest available turbine technology" to increase power production.
"In taking on the development of the largest planned onshore wind project in Scotland, we intend to boost its output using our world-leading research and development expertise," says EDF Energy chief executive Vincent de Riva.
