EDF-EN capacity grows to 2.66GW on PV surge

EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF-EN), the renewables subsidiary of utility giant EDF increased its net capacity by 406MW to 2.66GW in 2010.

EDF-EN says it is on target to reach its target of 4.2GW of capacity by the end of 2012, with 3.34GW of net capacity under construction.

The company’s EBITDA increased 36.2% to €455.1m in 2010, ahead of EDF-EN’s stated objective of €430m to €450m for the year. Net income increased by 8.4% to €106.1m.

Excluding non-recurring items, net income increased by 46.8%
