Colbeck’s Corner, which began commercial operation this August in the Texas Panhandle, already has an agreement in place to sell some of its power to Digital Realty.

But the 12-year PPA with Johnson & Johnson – the world’s largest maker of healthcare products – greatly expands E.ON’s position within the white-hot US market for corporate renewables PPAs.

The GE turbines spinning at Colbeck’s Corner will supply Johnson & Johnson – maker of products like Tylenol and Listerine – with the equivalent of 60% of its electricity consumption in the US, and 25% of its consumption globally.
